Narex Curved drawknife 240 mm
Narex Bystrice has been making high quality, hand-forged edge tools for near a century that are well known to discerning craftsman worldwide. Famous for their chisels and carving tools, Narex has recently expanded into the green woodworking tools market and now offers adzes, spoon knives and draw knives. These traditional drawknives from Narex can be used by timber framers, turners, carvers, carpenters and chair makers to quickly remove excess material to shape spindles, pegs, legs, carvings, chair seats or turning blanks or remove bark from logs. The blades are forged from Chrome steel and hardened to 55 HRc for excellent edge retention. The blades on theses knives are curved end-to-end and along the cutting edge. Blades are 1/4" (6 mm) thick by 1-1/2" (40 mm) wide. Cutting edge is 9-1/2" (240 mm) long. The comfortable stained European Beech handles are 3-1/2" in length by 1-1/2" in diameter and are in line with the cutting edge (no splay). Overall length is 17-1/2"Comes with a leather edge protector.
