Ramin dowels are produced on the premises with state of art machinery. The Ramin that we use is specially selected from prime kiln dried boards for straight grain to minimise movement. Once the dowels have been machined they are sanded to a quality finish.

Ramin is a pale hardwood ranging from almost white to yellow. It has a high strength to weight ratio and is good to work. It has a straight grain with very little figuring.

Ramin dowels are only available in 2.4m lengths.

We have machinery to produce much larger diameters up to 420mm and longer lengths up to 3,500mm. Tapered and fluted dowels can be produced on request, please contact us for details
