Robert Sorby 5 Piece Modular Micro Set

Hamlet 5-piece tool set is an ideal set to get you started, for both beginners and experienced turners for spindle work. Made from high speed steel blades and hardwood handles, in a presentation box and comprises of: 3/4” Roughing Gouge, 1/4” Spindle Gouge, 1/2" Skew Chisel, 1/2" Round Nose Scraper, 1/4" Parting Tool. This general purpose five bladed set is a great all-rounder and a first class introductory kit for those new to turning in miniature. Essentially this is a micro version of Robert Sorby’s larger sized 52HS. This range of tools was devised by Robert Sorby following the success of the Sovereign system. This miniature version is centred on two sizes of aluminium handles into which a series of micro tools can easily be fitted. This gives the turner the option of extra flexibility as they build up their own collection of the custom-built tools that fit this system.
