Tulipwood Skirting Boards and Architrave
Our Tulipwood Skirting Boards and matching Architraves are produced in our workshop by time served craftsmen. Standard Skirting moulds include Ogee, Lambs Tongue, Torus, Pencil Round, Ovolo, Chamfered Round and Chamfered.
If you cannot find your mould we can offer a matching service. Contact us directly for pricing and any special mouldings. We have produced many bespoke skirting boards and architrave sets for several projects delivering nationwide and we supply both big and small projects.
Tulipwood is the ideal wood indoors where a painted finish is preferred because it is easy to work and will finish to a very fine smooth surface ready for painting. It accepts stains and paint well and unlike pine it does not have resin from knots that can bleed through the paint months after painting to cause staining of the painted finish. Tulipwood also known as American yellow poplar, is mostly pale cream to light green in colour and commonly includes purple and black streaks.
