Treatex Walnut oil

Made from crushed and refined broken walnuts unsuitable for sale. It is refined to ensure it is stable and safe for people with nut allergies.

Walnut oil purchased for cooking and salads is unprocessed therefore will go rancid over time.  Our processes ensure this does not happen.

The rest of the ingredients are natural oils and resins  - linseed oil( from flax seeds), Tung oil(also known as China wood oil, which is extracted from the seed of the tung oil tree), Sunflower oil, Calendula oils(made from certain marigold petals) well as small amounts of other plant oil. It contains no waxes but does contain pure pine resins (normally tapped from growing trees without killing them).

Uses.

Suitable for raw and finished smooth timber. Surface should be sanded to 180- 240grit sandpaper and must be dry and clean. Apply a thin coat ,it nourishes and protects the timber to provide and beautiful, durable surface. Regular coats can be applied if desired.

It is touch dry within about 20 minutes and full protection is achieved within a few hours.

Its main compeditiors will be Danish oil (requires regular coats for the 1^st 6 weeks, it also includes mineral spirits and synthetic resins) and Mineral .oil which is made from petroleum products including paraffin.
